Acom-3X2000A - HF POWER SPLITTER/COMBINER FOR 3 AMPLIFIERS

The ACOM3x2000A is a power splitter / combiner allows you to add the outputs of three linear HF amplifiers, in order to achieve an output power of 5000W PEP.

In order to add the power of three linear HF amplifiers, the output power of the exciter (HF transceiver) is divided into three equal channels, fed to the three inputs of the amplifier, while the outputs of the amplifier are combined to be injected to a common load (antenna).

The three output ports of the splitter as well as the three input ports of the combiner are RF isolated from each other to eliminate any coupling between the three amplifiers.

All ports are designed for a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms.

For proper operation, the three amplifiers used must be in phase and have equal amplitudes.

To ensure this, ACOM recommends the use of three ACOM2000A.

• Power Output: 5000W PEP or continuous carrier into a matched load (VSWR below 1.3: 1). Reduce the output at VSWR, linearly down to 2500W at VSWR up to 2: 1.

  • input VSWR with 50 Ohm loads at the three splitter outputs: 1.3: 1, 1.8-30MHz (no tunings, no switching); maximum output mismatch: up to 2: 1 at reduced output - see (b) above.
• Primary Power: 100-240V via a 12V wallwart adapter (supplied).
