The Yaesu SCF‑1 is an external cooling fan designed to enhance thermal management for the FTX‑1 Field Head, whether used in Field QRP mode or in a remote configuration (Optima mode).

Compatible with Optima (Remote Head) Mode
In Optima configuration, the Field Head can be detached from the SPA‑1 using a dedicated release button and used remotely via control cable.

The SCF‑1 can then be mounted to the back of the remote head as it would in Field QRP use.

Power Requirements & Battery Incompatibility
