The AnyTone AT-D890UV is a 2m/70cm dual-band handheld transceiver for DMR digital radio (compatible with MOTOTRBO Tier 1 and 2).

Naturally, traditional analog FM operation is also supported. Unlike many other DMR radios, the AT-D890UV offers true VFO operation , making it much more suitable for amateur radio than other DMR devices.

The amateur can freely set the frequency and transmission parameters, instead of being limited to pre-programmed memory channels. Naturally, the AnyTone AT-D890UV also features memory channels , and a large number of them: 4,000 in total.

However, the user is not limited to pre-programmed channels alone.

Another important difference compared to many DMR radios is the ability to change most (though unfortunately not all) of the parameters directly on the device.

This means that there is no need to resort to a computer for every small change. However, the configuration of all parameters (e.g. DMR ID or satellite data) is only possible using the dedicated PC software.

The AT-D890UV is the successor to the popular D878UV series.

New features include a crossband repeater (DD, AD, DA, AA) and the ability to receive VHF AM aviation radio.

As with the AT-D168UV, the D890UV offers satellite tracking, including automatic frequency tracking.

A constantly updated list also shows upcoming satellite passes.

A special (and rare) strength: the device supports full-duplex crossband (FM) operation.

When transmitting on the 2m band, the 70cm receiver remains active and is not muted.

The D890UV features a very comprehensive package. 4,000 different channels can be stored (digital and analog, mixed operation supported). 

Up to 10,000 talkgroups can be configured, and the phonebook can hold up to 500,000 contacts .

In analog mode, functions such as DTMF, CTCSS, and DCS are supported, as well as two-tone and five-tone signaling.

A 1750 Hz call tone is also available.

Five of the device's keys can be freely assigned to custom functions, allowing each user to adapt the device to their preferences. The 1.77" color display offers different backlight levels and is easily readable even in direct sunlight.

To save energy, the display can automatically dim after a certain time.
